Our farm "Hinterschnabl" - location of the popular television series with the mountain doctor

First mentioned in 1694, our farm "Hinterschnabl" at Faistenbichl has been owned by the family since 1865. In 1985, Johann Leitner took over the farm from his mother and continued to manage the meadows and forests of the approximately 15ha large estate.

In 2007, the film crew selected the farm as the set to the Bergdoctor's practice. The premises were lovingly rebuilt and renovated.

At the beginning of 2016 Johann Leitner handed over the farm to your host Hannes Leitner. We now intend to revitalize the local agriculture and to cultivate it gently and in harmony with nature and regional tradition. In the medium term, we plan to set up apartments for living in the "Bergdoktorpraxis".

We are happy to provide a personal and private tour to our guests who are interested (if time allows).

For all those interested, the "Bergdoktorpraxis" is also open in the summer on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 12:00 (not on shooting days).

From the village center you can reach the house in 15-20 minutes on foot. Buses can not drive to the house. Also when driving by car we recommend the parking lot at the Hartkaiserbahn Ellmau and walking 5-10 minutes from there.
